Red Wine VIDALBA

Basic Information

To begin, the varieties of this red wine VIDALBA include 52% Grenache Noir, 28% Syrah, and 20% Carignan. This combination of varieties offers a unique complexity to the wine. The Grenache Noir provides intense fruity notes, the Syrah gives it a firm structure, and the Carignan adds a touch of elegance.

Winemaking

Each variety is vinified separately to ensure full control over the winemaking process and to preserve the unique characteristics of each variety. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, where daily punching down and gentle pumping over are performed to ensure a balanced extraction of colors, aromas, and flavors.

Barrel Aging

After fermentation, the wine is transferred to lightly toasted French oak barrels from Allier, where it ages for 12 to 14 months, depending on the variety. Second-year barrels provide a gentle integration of wood aromas without overpowering the wine’s fruity characteristics.
Alcohol: The wine has an alcohol content of 14.5% by volume, which provides balanced warmth and a full-bodied sensation on the palate.

As part of the commitment to quality and integrity, no filtration or clarification processes are applied. This may result in the appearance of small deposits over time, but it also preserves the richness and complexity of the wine.

Information on Bottling and Consumption

Bottling

The production of this wine consists of 5,500 Bordeaux bottles from the Europa series. The corks are made of natural cork, with dimensions of 49 x 24 mm. Additionally, the wine is presented in cardboard boxes of 6 bottles, with the option of wooden boxes of 6 bottles, featuring the PEFC seal, ensuring that the wood comes from ecologically and sustainably managed forests.

Consumption

To fully enjoy the wine’s qualities, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 16-18ºC. Before serving, it is advisable to open the bottle one hour in advance and decant the wine to enhance its aromas and flavors. Furthermore, using a Syrah-type glass will provide the best tasting experience, allowing the aromas to fully unfold around the nose and mouth.

Tasting Note

With this wine, you will travel through the Priorat. Cherry color with a violet hue on the edge, with slow and fine legs. Good aromatic intensity, with red and black fruits, notes of aromatic herbs (rosemary and thyme), and also mineral notes. A good impression on the palate, flavorful and very balanced. A long aftertaste with abundant flavors of ripe fruits and minerals.
